“What is Pink?” (2009) for two-part children’s chorus on poetry of Christina Rossetti

Commissioned by the Francis E. Horn Elementary School; Dur: 3:00

PDF SampleThis little piece for two-part children’s chorus and piano was written at the request of a graduate student whom I had taught in one of my courses at Central Connecticut State University. He had gotten into the noble habit of commissioning a new piece for his students each year, and on this occasion he asked me. It was an interesting challenge for me, since everything about the project was well off the beaten track of my normal style and process. In the end, the piece was successful and the kids loved it.

Piano vocal score: $8.00
